Religious Communities
- Across Pittsburgh, there are religious institutions for a wide variety of religions, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, native religions from Africa and South America. Specifically, there is a significant Hindu and Muslim population in Oakland.
- Oakland is home to the largest mosque in the city, the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh, attracting 600 to 700 participants weekly.
- Other churches in Oakland, like St. Regis Church, recently have been attracting a significant number of people from the Latinx community, as well as the Pittsburgh Chinese Church for the Chinese community.
